Hoonuit: Select Training for Users

As an administrator, you can provide Atomic Learning training/tutorials to other users (for example, students or employees). Atomic Learning gives you the following three ways to do this:

  • Assign Training: Treats the training as an assignment the user is required to complete; notifies the user via email about the training; allows the administrator to view reports on how users are doing on completing the training; shows up in “Assigned Training” section of “My Training” on the Atomic Learning homepage.
  • Recommend Training: Does not treat the training as an assignment the user is required to complete; does not notify users about the training; shows up in “Recommended Training” section of “My Training” on the Atomic Learning homepage.
  • Create Easy Links: Creates links to specific training videos; you can then distribute those links by emailing them to the desired people or putting them in Moodle for students, for example.

To Assign Training:

Note: When you assign training, Atomic Learning will send an email to the users you assigned the training to. But please be aware that there may be a delay of up to 24 hours between when you assign the training and when the users are notified by Atomic Learning.

  1. Log in to Atomic Learning with your CedarNet username and password.
  2. Navigate to the desired training series. To learn how to find training in Atomic Learning, see the Atomic Learning Navigation and Use article.
  3. When you are on a series page (for example, “Excel 2010 – Intro”), click the [Assign Course] button. The "Assign Training" window opens.
  4. In the “Assignment Name:” field, type a name for the assignment.
  5. Next to the “Due Date:” field, click the small calendar icon and select the date you want the assignment to be due.
  6. Check the boxes for all the training you want to assign. To check all the boxes, click [Check All]. To check an entire letter section (A., B., or C., for example), click the check box next to the desired letter. To uncheck all the boxes, click [Uncheck All].
