If you are faculty or staff and would like to receive calls on your personal device when you are not in the office, you will need to adjust the settings for your phone. Note: This procedure must be performed when connected to the Cedarville University network on campus.
To forward calls from your office phone to your cell phone:
- Go to https://voicemail.cedarville.edu and login with your phone extension and password (which may be 12341234). If that doesn't work for you, you may submit a request here to have it reset for you. Please note this password is separate from the PIN that is used to access voicemail via a phone. This is only used to access it via a web browser.
- Click the menu icon by your phone extension.
- Click settings. Click "Call Forwarding." Click the "+".
- Change the following setting:
- Extension will ring first for 4 seconds (approximately 4 seconds per ring). This is how long the phone will ring before forwarding the call.
- Check Active
- Condition: If no response
- Schedule: Always
- Forward to: 51areacodephonenumber
- Timeout (s): 30
- Save your new settings.
To disable this functionality, just uncheck the Active checkbox and save your settings. You probably also want to change the "Extension will ring for" setting back to 16 second so it will ring for about 4 rings before sending the caller to voicemail.
