CEC 111

To turn the ceiling mounted projector on:

  • Press POWER button on the projector remote.

To show the tech cart computer image:

  • Turn on the computer.
  • Select HDMI 1 on the remote.

Note: To adjust the volume, adjust computer volume or owl volume if using.

To show the laptop image:

  • Attach your laptop to one of the cables provided the HDMI cable provided.
  • Check your laptop resolution to make sure it is 1280x800. If the image does not appear, press FN + F? (e.g., Fn + F8) on the laptop to toggle the laptop video card output.

To show a DVD video:

  1. Put the DVD in the PC disk drive
  2. On the tech cart PC, go to the Start Menu, then click File Explorer, then click “This PC”. Alternatively, search for “This PC” in the search bar.
  3. Double click the DVD drive

Note: Use the arrow keys to navigate menus.

To black-out the screen:

  1. Press the AV-MUTE button on the remote.
  2. To return to the image, press the AV-MUTE button again. 

To duplicate or extend the computer image to the projector or TV:

  1. Press and hold the Windows key and press the letter P (Windows + P).
  2. A window will appear with 4 options. Select the option you wish to use:
    • Duplicate will make the local monitor and the projection screen have the same image.
    • Extended will make the local monitor and the projection screen have different images.

When you are done:

  1. Log off the computer properly.
  2. Remove all USB devices and discs from their appropriate places.
  3. Press the STANDBY button on the remote twice.

CEC 209

To turn the TV screen on:

  • Press the power button on the tv remote.

Note: To adjust the volume, use the remote or settings on the computer.

To display the computer:

  1. Select HDMI 3 on the remote.
  2. Make sure the computer is on.

To display laptop:

  1. Connect laptop to the provided HDMI cable.
  2. Select HDMI 2 on the remote.

To duplicate or extend the computer image to the projector or TV:

  1. Press and hold the Windows key and press the letter P (Windows + P).
  2. A window will appear with 4 options. Select the option you wish to use:
    • Duplicate will make the local monitor and the projection screen have the same image.
    • Extended will make the local monitor and the projection screen have different images.

When you are done:

  1. Log off the computer properly.
  2. Remove all USB devices, videotapes and discs from their appropriate places.
  3. Press the power button on the remote.

CEC 214
