The Employee vault is for your work passwords that are not shared with others.
You can create new Vault Items directly from 1password.
Set up the 1Password Browser Extension
The browser extension is the most common way to use 1Password, and IT recommends installing it first, on whatever browser you use for work.
If you're using Safari, Firefox, Edge, Chrome, Brave, or other Chromium-based browsers, you can get the 1Password browser extension here:

This extension can auto-fill passwords and offer to save passwords as you are browsing.
The 1Password extension can also allow you to save 2-factor authentication information for 3rd-party sites in a manner similar to Google Authenticator. This 2FA information can be then be shared with a team, or just saved in 1Password for safety.
If you've used another password manager browser extension in the past, you may want to disable it, and Import the Passwords into 1Password

Fill passwords on websites
If you have the browser extension installed, 1Password can automatically fill usernames and passwords into web pages on your behalf. It does this by comparing the address of the webpage you're currently on with the addresses associated any saved logins you have in your 1Password vault. It also ensures it doesn't automatically enter one of your passwords into a site where it doesn't belong.
To fill a username/password on a website, just click on the username or password field on the website, and choose the entry from your 1Password vault that you'd like to autofill into that website form.
If for some reason it's not working, and you've checked the webpage address to make sure you're on the correct site, you can use the 1Password browser extension to copy the password and paste it into the password field.
You can also use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + L (Mac: Cmd + Shift + L) to make the 1Password browser extension auto-fill your credentials from a matching saved password for any webpage you're on. Other Keyboard shortcuts are available here: https://support.1password.com/keyboard-shortcuts
