CedarPrint: Install & Use the Mobility Print Chrome Browser App

Note: With the sunset of Google Cloud Print in December 2020, an alternative for printing from ChromeOS devices such as Chromebooks is to use the Mobility Print Chrome App

To install the Mobility Print Chrome Browser App: 

  1. Before using CedarPrint, make sure your device is connected to the eduroam wireless network. 
  2. Install the Chrome Browser from www.google.coml/chrome or your device's app store.
    Note: the Chrome Web Store is unavailable on iOS devices. To install CedarPrint on iPhones & iPads, see our instructions for Apple Devices
  3. Visit the Chrome Web Store and download the Mobility Print App
  4. On the App page, click "Add to Chrome" and confirm by clicking "Add". 

To use Mobility Print for Chrome: 

  1. When attempting to print a document through Chrome, you may need to choose the "See More..." option in the list of printers.
  2. On the full list of printers, select one of the following:
    1. CedarPrint - [Cedarville University]
    2. CedarPrint Color - [Cedarville University].
      Note: Mobility Print printers can be dististinguished from the Google Cloud Print versions by the presence of the the Mobility Print icon: PaperCut logo
  3. Once you've selected the correct printer, click "Print"
  4. The Mobility Print app will pop up and ask you to enter your username and password. Do one of the following: 
    1. Enter your Cedarville University username and password in the fields, and click "Print"
    2. OR click "Sign in with Google" and proceed through the usual sign in process to sign into your Cedarville University Google account. 
  5. Once you authenticate, your document will be stored in the CedarPrint queue so that you can release it at a release station.
