Installing the OneDrive Sync Client

Body

Cedarville University Information Technology recommends the use of the Microsoft OneDrive Sync Client to allow you to access your OneDrive, OneDrive for Business, and SharePoint files directly from your computer.

The OneDrive Sync client will display the files and folders that you have stored in the cloud as if they were stored on your computer's hard drive. When you open or use the files, it will download them to your computer as needed, and upload any changes back to the OneDrive cloud so that your files stay in sync.

Similar applications are also available for Android and iOS.

Once you have the Sync Client installed, it will synchronize files with your Individual OneDrive library only. To sync files from a shared or department-owned OneDrive library, please see Sync Department Folders and Shared Libraries in OneDrive
