Kaltura can be utilized in the classrooms to enable professors to record their lectures. For help opening and starting Kaltura for use in the classroom, please follow these instructions.
Opening Kaltura
This method is necessary for the first time on each computer. After the first time, you can use either Method 1 or Method 2.
- Open Chrome or your preferred browser
- Navigate to video.cedarville.edu
- In the upper-right corner, click [GUEST] and then [Login]
- Once you are logged in, in the upper-right corner, click [ADD NEW] and then [Express capture]
- If a box appears asking if you want to open Kaltura Capture, click [Open Kaltura Capture]
- Kaltura Capture should now be open and ready for recording.
Method 2
This method works only if you have used Method 1 previously on the specific computer.
- Open the Start menu on the computer and search for "Kaltura Capture."
- Click on [Kaltura Capture]
- Kaltura Capture should now be open and ready for recording.
Troubleshooting
Error when opening Kaltura
If getting this error, Kaltura has not been set up yet on this computer. Please refer back to Method 1 and follow the steps there to get started.
