SBCC 102

To turn the ceiling mounted projector on:

  • Press the power icon if visible on the touch screen, then press the Display(s) ON button on the left side. The image will appear in about 15 seconds.

To show the tech cart computer image:

  • Press the PC button on the top of the touch screen.

Note: To adjust the volume, touch the volume up or down arrows on the right side of the touch screen.

Note: If you do not hear the audio through the room speakers, please make sure these items are set properly:

  1. The touch screen volume is up.
  2. The player volume is up.
  3. The computer volume is set to 80.
  4. If items 1-3 have been checked, perform this action: click on the speaker icon in the bottom right corner of the computer. Next to the volume bar is “>” icon. Click it and select ExtronScalerD (AMD High Definition Audio Device).

To show your laptop image:

  • Attach your laptop to the provided HDMI cable, press Laptop button on the top of the touch screen.

Note: You will need your own adapter if your device does not have an HDMI connection.

To duplicate or extend the computer image to the projector or TV:

  1. Press and hold the Windows key and press the letter P (Windows + P).
  2. A window will appear with 4 options. Select the option you wish to use:
    • Duplicate will make the local monitor and the projection screen have the same image.
    • Extended will make the local monitor and the projection screen have different images.

Microphone Use:

  • Open the case by pressing the two buttons on the side of the bodypack.
  • Press the power button in the center. You will see a light on top of the microphone flash.
  • A green light means the microphone is active.
  • An amber light means the microphone is muted and you will not be heard.
  • Control the microphone volume by touching the button LAV MIC VOLUME to the bottom right of the touch screen.
    • MIC 1 is the lapel mic that is a part of the lecture mic for classes.
    • Other microphones are used for larger event.

To black-out the screen:

  • Press the MUTE button on the left side of the touch screen.
  • Press the MUTE button again to show the source again.

When you are done:

  • Log off the computer properly.
  • Remove all USB devices.
  • Press the SYSTEM OFF button on the bottom right corner.
  • Press the POWER DOWN button to confirm the shutdown.

SBCC 103

To turn the ceiling mounted projectors on:

SBCC 102-103-104

To combine all 3 rooms:

  • Be sure all projectors are off by powering down all the projectors.
  • Press the COMBINE MODE button at the bottom of the touch screen.
  • Press the Display(s) ON button on the left side. The image will appear in about 15 seconds.

To show the tech cart computer image:

  • Press the PC button on the top of the touch screen.

Note: To adjust the volume, touch the volume up or down arrows on the right side of the touch screen.

Note: If you do not hear the audio through the room speakers, please make sure these items are set properly:

  1. The touch screen volume is up.
  2. The player volume is up.
  3. The computer volume is set to 80.
  4. If items 1-3 have been checked, perform this action: click on the speaker icon in the bottom right corner of the computer. Next to the volume bar is “>” icon. Click it and select ExtronScalerD (AMD High Definition Audio Device).

SBCC 138

To turn the ceiling mounted projectors on:

Note: This room has motorized screens. They will come down when you power on the projectors.

To show the tech cart computer image:

  • Connect your laptop to an HDMI cable (provided by your department or students).
  • TV should come on to the correct input.

When you are done:

  • Log off the computer properly.
  • Remove all USB devices.
  • Press the SYSTEM OFF button on the bottom right corner.
  • Press the POWER DOWN button to confirm the shutdown.

SBCC 140

SBCC 145

To turn the TV on:

  • Press the power icon if visible on the touch screen, then press the Display(s) ON button on the left side. The image will appear in about 15 seconds.

To show the tech cart computer image:

  • Press the PC button on the top of the touch screen.
  • Use wireless mouse and keyboard.

Note: To adjust the volume, touch the volume up or down arrows on the right side of the touch screen.

If you do not hear the audio from the tech cart PC through the room speakers, please make sure these items are set properly:

  1. The touch screen volume is up.
  2. The player volume is up.
  3. The computer volume is set to 80.
  4. If items 1-3 have been checked, perform this action: click on the speaker icon in the bottom right corner of the computer. Next to the volume bar is “>” icon. Click it and select ExtronScalerD (AMD High Definition Audio Device).

To show your laptop image:

  • Press Laptop button on the top of the touch screen.
  • Connect your laptop to the Barco ClickShare puck that has USB-C.
  • For laptops with Windows:
    • When first connecting the ClickShare puck there is a white circle light that will blink.
    • The ClickShare App will automatically download and install on the laptop (This can take about 5 minutes).
    • The flashing light on the puck will become solid.
    • Press the button on the puck to display your laptop on the TV.
    • The light will now turn red indicating you are sharing your laptop.
  • For Mac laptops:
    • When first connecting the ClickShare puck there is a white circle light that will blink.
    • ClickShare App will be on your desktop.
    • Click the icon then click Download ClickShare Extension Pack.URL.
    • Follow onscreen prompts to down and install the app.
    • The flashing light on the puck will become solid.
    • Press the button on the puck to display your laptop on the TV.
    • The light will now turn red indicating you are sharing your laptop.
  • When you are done presenting with your laptop, click the button again to stop displaying your laptop.

Note: Once you have used ClickShare on your laptop, you will not need to download the app again. Connect the puck to your laptop and the white circle light will be lit. Press the button to display your laptop.

Note: You can connect both ClickShare pucks to two laptops and display them side-by-side on the TV. The resolution will not be great.

Note: You cannot extend your laptop display. It will only duplicate the screen.

To duplicate or extend the computer image to the projector or TV:

Using Microsoft Teams:

  • Launch Teams as normal.
  • The Speaker settings within Teams must be on ExtronScale D (AMD high Definition Audio Device).
  • The microphone setting within Teams must be on Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (DMP Plus USB#1).

To black-out the screen:

  • Press the MUTE button on the left side of the touch screen.
  • Press the MUTE button again to show the source again.

When you are done:

  • Log off the computer properly.
  • Remove all USB devices.
  • Press the SYSTEM OFF button on the bottom right corner.
  • Press the POWER DOWN button to confirm the shutdown.

SBCC 137

To turn the TV on:

  • For laptops with Windows:
    • When first connecting the ClickShare puck there is a white circle light that will blink.
    • The ClickShare App will automatically download and install on the laptop (This can take about 5 minutes).
    • The flashing light on the puck will become solid.
    • Press the button on the puck to display your laptop on the TV.
    • The light will now turn red indicating you are sharing your laptop.
  • For Mac laptops:
    • When first connecting the ClickShare puck there is a white circle light that will blink.
    • ClickShare App will be on your desktop.
    • Click the icon then click Download ClickShare Extension Pack.URL.
    • Follow onscreen prompts to down and install the app.
    • The flashing light on the puck will become solid.
    • Press the button on the puck to display your laptop on the TV.
    • The light will now turn red indicating you are sharing your laptop.
  • When you are done presenting with your laptop, click the button again to stop displaying your laptop.

Note: Once you have used ClickShare on your laptop, you will not need to download the app again. Connect the puck to your laptop and the white circle light will be lit. Press the button to display your laptop.

Note: You can connect both ClickShare pucks to two laptops and display them side-by-side on the TV. The resolution will not be great.

Note: You cannot extend your laptop display. It will only duplicate the screen.

To duplicate or extend the computer image to the projector or TV:

  1. Press and hold the Windows key and press the letter P (Windows + P).
  2. A window will appear with 4 options. Select the option you wish to use:
    • Duplicate will make the local monitor and the projection screen have the same image.
    • Extended will make the local monitor and the projection screen have different images.

Using Microsoft Teams:

  • Launch Teams as normal.
  • The Speaker settings within Teams must be on ExtronScale D (AMD high Definition Audio Device).
  • The microphone setting within Teams must be on Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (DMP Plus USB#1).

To black-out the screen:

  • Press the MUTE button on the left side of the touch screen.
  • Press the MUTE button again to show the source again.

When you are done:

  • Log off the computer properly.
  • Remove all USB devices.
  • Press the SYSTEM OFF button on the bottom right corner.
  • Press the POWER DOWN button to confirm the shutdown.

Collaboration Rooms

How to use the TV in SBCC Room #228 Cyber Collaboration, 230, 231, 232, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 146:

  • Connect an HDMI cable to the wall plate just below the TV and to your laptop.

Note: You will need your own HDMI cable and an adapter if your device does not have an HDMI connection.

  • Press the ON button on the button panel next to the TV.
  • Press the WALL PLATE button.
  • Control volume level by pressing the VOL UP or VOL DOWN arrows.
    • You can also control the volume level on your laptop.
  • Turn the TV off by pressing the OFF button.

To duplicate or extend the computer image to the projector or TV:

  1. Press and hold the Windows key and press the letter P (Windows + P).
  2. A window will appear with 4 options. Select the option you wish to use:
    • Duplicate will make the local monitor and the projection screen have the same image.

SBCC 238

To start using the recording feature in this room:

  • Connect your laptop to the HDMI cable.

Note: You will need your own adapter if your device does not have an HDMI connection.

  • Plug your USB flash drive into the small record box.
  • The TVs and camera will power on.
  • Start the recording my pressing the record button.
    • The small light on the ceiling will turn on once this button is pressed.
  • When you are finished recording, press the stop button.
    • The small light on the ceiling will turn off once this button is pressed.
  • Remove your USB flash drive and the TVs and camera will power off.

Suggestions:

  • Turn off the overhead lights to get better video quality.
  • Use the camera remote control to frame the shot you want to use for recording.
