During a manual registration request, you must provide the MAC address of your device to register your device for use on cu-manual. Use this help page for instructions on how to find your MAC address on your device.
There are many different devices with MAC Addresses and have different ways of finding it, but most follow a similar basic route to find it. Try following these general steps and look for similar wording on your own device. If these instructions are not helpful for your device, view the links below for more specific information or use an online resource.
- Navigate to your device's settings
- Search for one of the following: "Network Settings," "Hardware Information," or "About Device"
- The MAC Address should display under "MAC Address," "Wired/Wireless Address," etc.

Amazon Echo
To find a MAC address on an Amazon Echo:
On first Setup:
- Download the Amazon Alexa app.
- Sign in to your Amazon account.
- Check that your device is connected to the wireless network shared with your Echo Dot.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the Echo Setup screen, where you should find the MAC address.
After first Setup:
- Open the Alexa app on your device.
- Go to "More" > "Settings" > "Device Settings"> "Your Echo Echo Device."
- Press the gear icon in the upper-right corner.
- Scroll down and press "About."
Your MAC address will be displayed.

Amazon Fire TV
To find a MAC address on an Amazon Fire TV:
- From the Home screen, press "Settings."
- Navigate to "My Fire TV" > "About" > "Network."
The MAC Address will be displayed under MAC Address (Wi-Fi).

Amazon Kindle
To find a MAC address on an Amazon Kindle:
- Press the "Menu" button.
- Use the 5-way controller to underline "Settings" > Press "Select."
The MAC Address will be displayed under "Device Info/Options."

To find a MAC address on an Android phone or tablet:
- Navigate to "Settings"
- Tap "About Device."
- Tap "Status" or "Hardware Information."
The MAC Address will be displayed under "Wi-Fi MAC Address."

Nintendo Wii
To find a MAC address on a Nintendo Wii game console:
- Select "Wii Settings" to access the "Wii System Settings" menu.
- Using the arrow on the right side of the screen, scroll to page two and select "Internet."
- Select "Console Information."
The Wii Console's MAC address will be shown at the top of the screen.

Nintendo 3DS
To find a MAC address on a Nintendo 3DS game console:
- Select "System Settings" > "Internet Settings" > "Other Information."
- Select "Confirm MAC Address" to display the MAC Address.

To find a MAC address on a Nintendo Switch game console:
- Select "System Settings" from the HOME Menu.
- Scroll down and select "Internet."
The MAC Address will be displayed under "System MAC Address."

PlayStation 4
To find a MAC address on a PlayStation 4 game console:
- Start up your PlayStation 4 without a disk in the drive.
- Find the System Settings icon.
- Select "System Information."
The MAC Address will be displayed in this section.

- Start up your PlayStation 5.
- Select "System" > "System Software" > "Console Information."
The MAC Address will be listed by MAC Address (Wi-Fi).

Printer (General Guidelines) - not supported on CU wireless networks
To find a MAC address on a printer:
- Look on the bottom or side of the printer for a MAC Address.
- If it is not there, print a configuration page. The MAC Address will likely be displayed in the "Network" Section and could be called "Hardware Address."
- To print a configuration page, consult your printer manual. Typically, if there is a display on your printer, look in the settings under "Administration" or similar. If there is no display, you will likely press the "Go" button three times or something similar.

Roku
To find a MAC address on a Roku device:
- Go to the Roku Home screen.
- Click on "Settings" > "System" > "About."
The MAC Address will be displayed next to "Wireless MAC address."

- Open the companion app on your phone.
- Open the Settings.
- Select the drop-down menu for Quest.
- Select "Settings" > "About This Headset."

- From the General section, select Network Settings.

On the IP Settings menu, the wireless MAC address will be listed by Wireless MAC.
