Windows 11 normally downloads important updates automatically. You can use these steps to check for updates now.
Check for updates
- Select Start.
- Select Settings.
- Select Windows Update.
- Select Check for updates.
- If updates are available, select Download & install.
- Restart your computer when Windows asks you to do so.
University-owned computers
IT normally manages updates on University-owned computers. If you receive an update message or have trouble updating, contact the IT Help Desk rather than changing settings you are unsure about.
