Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer each provide you with the ability to set a homepage that opens each time you launch your browser. This help page will explain how to set a default homepage in each of these browsers.
Set Your Homepage in Google Chrome
- Open Google Chrome.
- Navigate to the desired homepage, such as the Cedarville University Fac/Staff or Student homepages or the Google Apps landing page. If you would want Chrome to open multiple pages, such as the Google Apps landing page and Cedarville's homepage, you can have each tab open. Make sure you only have multiple tabs open on your window if you want Chrome to open multiple pages.
- Click the customize/control icon (three parallel horizontal bars) in the top-right corner of Chrome.
- Click “Settings.”
- From the "On startup" section, choose the "Open a specific page or set of pages" radio button.
- Click "Set pages." The Startup Pages window opens.
- Click [Use current pages].
- Click [OK].
Set Your Homepage in Internet Explorer 10, 11
Note: If you are a fac/staff member on Cedarville's campus, these steps will not work for you due to a group policy setting enacted by information technology. If you would like to be able to set your homepage, you could try using Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.

- Navigate to the desired homepage, such as the Cedarville University Fac/Staff or Student homepages. If you would want Internet Explorer to open multiple pages, such as the Google Apps landing page and Cedarville's homepage, you can have each tab open.
