- The backup to your old computer is placed within the hard drive (C: drive) of the new installed computer. It can be found in C:\docs.
- Your old computer will be protected for 10 days. Please verify that all data has been transferred to the new computer within this time frame.
- Within the Windows 10 environment, it is necessary to change your automatic file save location to your H: drive; otherwise, it automatically saves to your local disk (C: drive). Please refer to the TechHelp page, Windows 10: Set Default Document Folder Location for instructions on changing the default save location.
- CedarNet is now available on the desktop as an icon labeled "CedarNet".
- Information Technology is making administrator-level access easier to use. You can now gain administrator-level access for your user account through a program called "Make Me Admin". To access it, go to the Start menu and scroll down to the applications that begin with "M". Click on the "Make Me Admin" program. In the box that appears, click "Grant Me Administrator Rights". This will enable your user account to have full administrator rights for up to 10 minutes at a time.
