Setting up DYMO label maker for Career Services

The following steps should be taken to set up the DYMO label maker for Career Services:

1.  Install the printer driver FIRST!!!!!    We have the correct driver downloaded and stored in Sharepoint in Tech Team\Software\Drivers\Printers\Dymo (this used to be the Q drive).  It is called "LabelWriterDrivers-x64.msi".  It is an older driver that will only work with the LabelWriter 450 Turbo printers that Career Services currently uses.     Install the driver, making sure that you do not plug the printer in until instructed by the software.

2.  Install the label maker software SECOND!!!!!   It is in Sharepoint in Tech Team\Software\Drivers\Printers\Dymo (this used to be the Q drive) and is called "DLS8Setup.8.7.3.exe".   You can always check DYMO's site to see if there is a new version.  However, DO NOT INSTALL DYMO CONNECT, AS THAT DOES NOT WORK WITH THE LABELWRITER 450 TURBO PRINTERS.

3.  Open up the label that is saved in Sharepoint in Tech Team\Software\Drivers\Printers\Dymo (this used to be the Q drive) or in Google Drive in https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1CDT_BWl-jQyzotfX0QencDFIrzWy6S1H (Infotech Team Drive ->Technical Services Team -> Drivers/Installs ->Career Services DYMO printer) in the label software and make adjustments as needed.  Or, you can create the label you want and then save it.  Save the file when complete.

4.  Open up the label file in Notepad, so that you can view the XML data.   Copy the XML data.

5.  Go to cedarville.joinhandshake.com and go to the Fairs part under the Schedule section.  Do this in Chrome only.  Firefox will not work.   If you do this in Firefox, it will not be able to find the label file when you got to print the label.

6.  Select the fair you are wanting to work on.  Click on the Edit tab inside the fair you are working on.

On the next screen, under "Name tab label XML", paste in XML data from the label file.  Make sure you remove what is there first.   Click "Update Career Fair" and you are done.

7.  Send a test print just to make sure it works.
