You may be asked for your Windows version when requesting help or installing software. Follow these steps to find it.
Find your Windows version
- Select Start.
- Select Settings.
- Select System.
- Scroll down and select About.
Information to share with IT
Under Windows specifications, look for:
- Edition — for example, Windows 11 Home or Windows 11 Pro
- Version
Under Device specifications, look for System type, which tells you whether your computer is 64-bit or 32-bit.
