Accessing University Software and Editing PDFs

Software on University Computers

Cedarville University has many software applications available to students on University computers.

A list of University computer labs and their open times can be found here.

If you log into a University computer, and you don't see the software you're looking for already on the computer, follow these steps to download it yourself:

1. Open "CedarNet 2.0" located on the computer's desktop..
2.  Search for the software you wish to install.
   If it is an Adobe software, search for the Adobe Creative Cloud App.
    
3. Click Install. It may take several for the installation process to complete, depending on the size of the application.
    
4. Restart your computer if prompted.

You may also download Adobe software on your personally-owed computer. See this article for instructions.

Note: Microsoft Access software cannot be downloaded by students. You can find them already downloaded on computers located in Milner 111, 141, and 142; SSC 103; BTS 111; Library Media Plex and UL.

Editing PDFs

To combine PDFs, add or delete pages, or edit the text of a PDF:

1. Click on the "Start" Windows icon.
    
2. Open "Adobe Acrobat"

To Combine PDFs:

1.  Click on the "Tools" tab.
   
    
2. Click "Open" under "Combine Files."
   
    
3. Upload the files you want to combine. 
   
    
4. Click "Combine."
   
    

To Delete Pages:

1.  Click on the "Tools" tab.
   
    
2. Click "Open" under "Organize Pages."
   
    
3. Upload the PDF you want to edit.
   
    
4. Hoover over the page you want to delete.
   Then, Click the trash icon.
   
    

To Edit Text:

1. Click on the "Tools" tab.
   
    
2. Click "Open" under "Organize Pages."
   
    
3. Upload the PDF you want to edit.
   
    

Accessing Office 365
