📞 Microsoft Teams: Voicemail

This KB covers how to manage your Microsoft Teams voicemail.

Record Voicemail Greeting (desk phone)

Use the following information to record a voicemail greeting on your desk phone. 

  1. Ensure you are logged into Microsoft Teams on your desk phone.
  2. Select the VM (Voicemail) button and then Connect.
  3. Recorded instructions will guide you through the process of recording and/or listening to your previous greeting. 
  4. To record a new greeting, select 2.
    • To play your current greeting and record a new one, select 1.
    • To play your current greeting and record a new greeting for out of office, select 2

Voicemail to Email

Voicemails you receive in Microsoft Teams are automatically transcribed and sent to the email associated with your Microsoft Teams account. 

Record Your Greeting (desktop and web application)

  1. Navigate to Settings (click on the three horizontal dots in the upper right-hand corner by your profile).

     
  2. Select the Calls tab.

     
  3. Scroll down to the Manage Voicemail section.

     
  4. You can choose to either record a custom greeting or type one into your custom greeting bar.
     
  5. Select Save when satisfied with your custom greeting.
     

Listening to Voicemail (desktop and web application)

  1. Once logged into your Microsoft Teams account, navigate to the sidebar on the far left of the screen and select Calls.

     
  2. Navigate to the drop down history and choose voicemail.

     
  3. Select the three horizontal dots next to the voicemail you want to listen to.

Listening to Voicemail (desk phone)

To listen to voicemails on the Polycom desk phones, select the VM button and then Connect and follow the instructions provided.
