Cedarville University manages the deployment of Microsoft Office products on University-owned computers in classroom/lab and faculty/staff environments.
You must first upgrade to Office 365 before installing the following additional applications: Visio, Project, Outlook*, or Access*.
- Outlook and Access may only be available to specific groups on campus.
To upgrade to Office 365 on a University-owned computer:
- Follow the steps outlined in the article, Get Microsoft Office 365.
- Once complete, return to this article to finish the additional setup.
To refresh the CedarNet 2.0 menu options:
- Open Control Panel.
- Click Configuration Manager.
- Click Actions tab.
- Select Machine Policy Retrieval and Evaluation Cycle.
- Click Run Now
- If steps 4 and 5 do not work, select Application Deployment Evaluation Cycle next, and click Run Now.
To install Visio, Project, Outlook, or Access from CedarNet 2.0:
- From the Desktop, double-click CedarNet 2.0.
- In the top-right corner, search for the application name.
- Select the desired application.
- Click Install.
- Wait for the installation to complete. It may require a restart to finish.
