Microsoft Office: How to Install Additional Products

Cedarville University manages the deployment of Microsoft Office products on University-owned computers in classroom/lab and faculty/staff environments.


To upgrade to Office 365 on a University-owned computer:

  • Follow the steps outlined in the article, Get Microsoft Office 365.
  • Once complete, return to this article to finish the additional setup.

To refresh the CedarNet 2.0 menu options:

  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. Click Configuration Manager.
  3. Click Actions tab.
  4. Select Machine Policy Retrieval and Evaluation Cycle.
  5. Click Run Now
  6. If steps 4 and 5 do not work, select Application Deployment Evaluation Cycle next, and click Run Now.

To install Visio, Project, Outlook, or Access from CedarNet 2.0:

  1. From the Desktop, double-click CedarNet 2.0.
  2. In the top-right corner, search for the application name.
  3. Select the desired application.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Wait for the installation to complete. It may require a restart to finish.
