This article provides information on how to get an AT&T International Day Pass plan when traveling internationally with a university-owned cellular device. This plan provides the user with the same service and features that they would have in the United States, including voice, data, and text.
Note: If you are going on a cruise, you must first check to make sure your ship has the AT&T Cruise package.
Prior to your departure, contact Information Technology to upgrade your AT&T or FirstNet phone plan at least one-week in advance of your departure date. The AT&T International Day Pass plan will save roaming charges on your mobile device(s). To add the AT&T International Day Pass plan, you can call or text Information Technology at 937-766-7905, or go to Cellular Phone or Device: Request Change in Cell Phone Service and complete the service request form.
In your phone call, text message, or IT service request, include the following information:
- The phone number of each device
- The departure and return dates
- The destination (to determine the best service plan for your needs)
Note: When using DUO authenticate while traveling abroad, you can choose the "Duo Mobile passcode" option instead of the "DUO Push" option if you don't have good Wi-Fi or cell coverage. For more information on using the Duo Mobile passcode authentication method, visit the article, "How to Use Duo Authentication Methods."
