Some devices do not support the password security used by the eduroam network. If you want to get connected to the campus network, follow the steps below for alternate options.
Smart Devices & Gaming Systems
For gaming systems and smart home devices (i.e., Amazon Echo, Apple HomePod, smart light bulbs, smart plugs, smart speakers, etc.) that do not support eduroam, you can register the device to connect to the cu-manual wireless network. Click Register My Device to get started.
To register, you will need the MAC address for your device. For more information, please see How to find a MAC address on your Device.
If you cannot find the MAC address of your device, please contact IT using the information at the bottom of this page.
After submitting your registration, please allow one (1) business day for approval. Upon approval, you will receive an email with further instructions, including how to connect your device to the cu-manual network. The password provided will be CASE SENSITIVE.
You will need to repeat the registration process for each device going on cu-manual.
Smart Phones, Tablets, & Laptops
Most mobile devices such as smart phones, tablets, and laptops, can connect to the eduroam wireless network without registration. For detailed steps on how to connect Apple and Android smart phones, Apple and Android tablets, or Windows and macOS laptops, click Connect to eduroam to learn more.
Connect Devices without Wi-Fi
Many devices have Ethernet ports available for a wired connection to the Internet. This method does not require you to submit a MAC address registration. Visit Activate my Residence Hall Ethernet Port for more information on using the wireless access point.
