Printing to CedarPrint from Mac or iOS
When you print to CedarPrint from an Apple device, your device will prompt you for a username and password. Please note that this is needs to be your Cedarville University username (do not include "@cedarville.edu") and your Cedarville University password, even if your device auto-fills other information.
On Mac computers, you have the ability to save your password so that you don't have to enter it for every job. However, if you change you password or mistakenly save incorrect information, you'll need to remove the saved "cedarprint" password from KeyChain Access.
Please note that although your device doesn't prompt you with a price for the print job, regular black & white CedarPrint jobs will charge 5 cents per page when released from one of the 15 convenient CedarPrint release stations around campus. CedarPrint Color jobs released from the color CedarPrint station in the BTS 111 Open-access computer lab will charge 40 cents per page. You can check cedar.to/webprint for your account balance.Jobs printed to the "cedarprint" printer will not be available for release on the BTS 111 Color CedarPrint release station, and jobs printed to the "cedarprint color" printer will not be available for release on normal CedarPrint release stations around campus.
Hold for Authentication... If your MacOS device gives you the message "Hold for Authentication" on your job, you may have used the wrong username or password when you submitted your print job. Try again, and make sure you enter your CU Username (your computer username maybe auto-filled, and may be different), and your CU password when prompted. Still having trouble? We'd be happy to help. CedarPrint Troubleshooting
If you experience difficulty with CedarPrint software, the following troubleshooting options may resolve your issue.
To Troubleshoot CedarPrint:
- Print PDF's from Adobe Reader instead of from Preview. You may need to download Adobe Reader to your Mac if you haven't already.
- Reinstall CedarPrint. This will ensure you have the latest version of CedarPrint on Mac or Windows.
- Make sure your personal computer is connected to eduroam. You cannot wirelessly print unless you are logged into the eduroam wireless network. CedarPrint will not work with the cu-guest wireless network.
For information on how to set up eduroam, please click the link for the Wireless Connection to Eduroam help page.
If these troubleshooting suggestions do not resolve the issue you are having, submit a ServeCU request, or take your laptop or mobile device to the IT Service Center (north side of the Tyler Digital Communication Center — via the external glass door facing the Milner Business Administration Building). The IT Service Center is open from 11 am - 4:30 pm, Mondays through Fridays during the academic year and by appointment only during the summer term and over breaks.
